The focus of the role will be to develop and maintain the Technical Security Architecture and keep it aligned with business outcomes, solutions and technology.
You will also be providing technical security architecture expertise and industry insight into the overall IT function and co-ordinating with the firm’s security team, other member firms and the global team.
You will be expected to monitor security technology trends and emerging standards for new technology opportunities and security improvements.

You will provide the high level design for all security related work within projects and assure the delivery of these projects.

The role reports to the Head of Architecture but will be expected to work closely with the firm’s security team, experts within the firm’s practice and GSO.

Knowledge of perimeter security (Checkpoint & Palo Alto), DLP (Symantec), Bluecoat Proxies, F5 and Cisco would be an advantage.



Responsibilities

Continue to develop a technical security architecture methodology and standard, and promote within the IT function and the wider business.
Use this understanding to proactively support all IT activity
Develop pragmatic, creative and innovative security architecture designs to meet functional and security requirements in alignment with the firm’s strategy and policies.
Assure the delivery of security related projects
Work with policy groups on existing and new policy.
Define security roadmaps for key technology areas.
Identify areas for improvement in the firm’s security either with revised/new processes or technologies.
Monitor security technology trends and requirements for new technology opportunities and security improvements.
Support the firm’s ISO 27001 certification
Work with Global firm on understanding, designing and mapping global security standards to UK projects/roadmaps.

Requirements

Qualifications

A Degree in an IT related discipline
Professional security qualification such as CISSP, CISA, GIAC (desirable).
Personal attributes

A strong understanding of security concepts and an ability to use this to create practical, business focused solutions.
Expertise in security architecture, infrastructure, methodologies, policies and practices.
Strong knowledge of standard engineering principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
Able to work with project managers, software developers and peers to understand and solve challenging technical problems
